1. Screen Tenants Like a Professional Agency

The most expensive mistake a DIY landlord can make is trusting a handshake. Evicting a non-paying tenant through the Parish Court and the Rent Assessment Board can take months. Never hand over the keys without checking:

• A valid Government-issued ID (Passport, Driver's License, or National ID).
• A verified TRN (Tax Registration Number).
• An employment letter or proof of consistent income.

2. Standardize Your Rent Collection
